Which plan fits? Tonet suggests Pay as you go if you mostly take calls, and Unlimited if you make calls or do both. To change plans later, ask support at support@tonet.ai.

Sign up, step by step

  1. Pick your number. Choose Local or Toll-free. For a local number, type a state, city, area code or ZIP, then pick a number. Tonet holds it for you for 15 minutes.
  2. You. Click Continue with Google, or type your email. Tonet emails you a sign-in link and a 6-digit code. Open the link or type the code. Rather have a password? Click Use a password.
  3. Calls & team. Answer two questions: How will you use Tonet? (Making calls, Taking calls, or Both) and Who's calling? (Just me, 2–5, 6–20, or 21+). Check your Business name and Time zone.
  4. Pay. Choose a plan and how many people will be on calls. Pick your credit: $15, $25, $50, $100, or another amount. The minimum is $15. Then pay by Card or Crypto.

Some people also see a Preferences step after picking a number. It lets you turn call recording, transcripts, call summaries and tags, voicemail as text, and the daily spam-label check on or off.

Your credit is not a fee. It goes into your balance and pays for your number and your first days. The Pay step shows how many days it covers.

After you pay

Tonet buys your number and builds your phone system. This takes about a minute. When you see You're live, click Open Tonet.

Try calling your own cell phone first to hear how it sounds.

Some new accounts are checked by hand before the line goes live. If that happens, you'll see Thanks, your payment is in. It usually takes a few hours, and Tonet emails you when it's ready.

Running out of time on the 15-minute hold? Click Keep it 15 more minutes. If the hold runs out, pick the number again or choose another.

Have a code?

On the Pay step, enter a partner, promo or team code in the Have a code? box and click Apply. The box says what the code gives you.

Next steps

  1. Add your team. Each person gets an extension and a sign-in.
  2. Choose where calls go for your number.
  3. Make your first call from the browser.
