After-call review: notes, tags and summary

What the call review is, when it opens after a call, and how owners and managers set it to Required, Optional or Off in Account › Calls.

Last updated on

The call review is where a call's notes, tags and Tonet's summary go. You start it during the call with Notes on the call card, and finish it when you hang up. It's saved with the call and shows on the call's page.

Only answered calls get a review.

Calls open in the live call view unless you picked the small card. There, the review is the page itself: Tonet fills the call's details while you talk, and checks them against the recording after. See After the call. This page describes the small card.

What's in a review

PartWhat it is
SummaryTonet writes it after the call. Click Edit to change it. Use Tonet's puts Tonet's back.
Call tagsWords for this call, like "booking" or "follow up". Dashed ones are Tonet's suggestions: tap one to keep it, or × to hide it.
Contact tagsWords for the person, like "VIP". They stay on the contact and show on every call with them.
Your business's fieldsYour account's own fields, like a booking date, if it added any
Call noteYour own words about the call

Changes save as you type. After the call, the bottom of the review has Read transcript, Full call (opens the call's page), + Task, and Block number. If Tonet thinks the caller was a robocaller, the review says so and offers Block number up front.

When the review shows

During a call: click Notes on the call card. Jot down what matters and tag the call while you talk. The card says Your notes stay with this call after hangup.

After the call: it depends on the account's review mode.

ModeAfter an answered call
Optional (the default)A review you opened stays open. Others wait until Tonet's summary is ready, then show in Recent calls at the bottom left with a Review button. Rows you haven't touched go away after 10 seconds. Hover over the list to keep it. A call with nothing to review, like a very short one, doesn't show.
RequiredThe review opens when the call ends and stays until someone clicks Done.
OffNo review after calls, and no Notes button. Notes already saved stay.

Any time later: open the call's page. The Call review box shows the summary, tags, next steps and note, with Edit.

The call card's review is for calls in the dashboard and the desktop app. For a call on a desk phone or in the phone app, write the review on the call's page.

Finish a review

  • Done for now (Optional) or Done (Required) saves the review and closes it.
  • If something is marked Required and still empty, the card says what's missing, like Add a call tag to finish, and Done waits.
  • If Tonet's summary isn't ready yet, Tonet asks Save and close while AI is pending? Click Save and close to keep your notes. Tonet's summary won't replace what you wrote.
  • In Optional mode, Keep open keeps the review on screen, and × closes it without finishing.

Who can write a review

Only people who were on the call can write its review. Once someone saves it, only they can change it. Everyone who can see the call can read it.

Set the review mode

Owners and managers:

  1. Go to Manage › Account and open the Calls tab.
  2. Under Call review, pick:
