Move your number from Ooma to Tonet

How to port your number from Ooma Office or Ooma Home to Tonet: what to ask Ooma for, the porting fee, and why Ooma must stay active until the move.

Last updated on

To move an Ooma number to Tonet, ask Ooma for the details a new provider needs: the account number, any PIN, and the name and service address exactly as Ooma has them. Ooma doesn't publish its port-out steps, so call Ooma before you start. Then fill in Manage › Phones › Port a Number in Tonet. Keep your Ooma service active until the number has moved.

Keep your Ooma service active until the port finishes

  • Don't cancel Ooma before the number has moved.
  • Ooma's terms say that once your service has ended, it can only port your numbers out if you gave it at least 30 days' notice that you were leaving and taking them, completed the transfer paperwork, and paid any Ooma porting fee.
  • Once the number works in Tonet, contact Ooma to cancel.
