Grandstream GRP2612 Configuration

The GRP2612 is Grandstream's current entry-level desk phone with a 2.4" color LCD, 4 line keys, HD voice, and dual Gigabit Ethernet. It replaces the older GXP series.

SIP Registration

  • Find the IP address of your phone. Press the Menu button (center of the navigation pad).

  • Navigate to Status > Network Status.

  • Take note of the IPv4 address displayed.

  • Open a web browser on your computer and type the phone's IP address in the address bar.

  • Log in to the phone's web interface. The default username and password is admin / admin.

The GRP series uses a different web interface than the older GXP phones. The layout is cleaner but the field names are the same.

  • Navigate to Accounts > Account 1 > General Settings.

  • Set the account to Active and fill out the following fields with the credentials you received from Tonet support:

    • SIP Server - Your Tonet SIP server address
    • SIP User ID - Your SIP username
    • Authenticate ID - Your SIP username
    • Authenticate Password - Your SIP password
    • Name - Your name or extension label
  • Click Save and Apply.

STUN Configuration

STUN is required to avoid one-way audio issues.

  • In the left menu, click Settings > Network Settings.

  • Set NAT Traversal to STUN.

  • Click Save and Apply.

  • In the top menu, go to Settings > General Settings.

  • In the STUN Server field, enter: stun.tonet.ai:3478

  • Click Save and Apply.
